Discovering the Kitty Roedel bike path

After getting some bronchitis, but still needing to go to work, I managed a slow bike ride home after getting dropped off. Obviously since contracting bronchitis my cycling has been nonexistent unless absolutely necessary, and often to help another person out. To recap, this is how i got bronchitis...

El Gripe

However, while I am normally racing on the road I never take time to look at the surrounding area outside my job. I discovered the Kitty Roedel Bicycle path, a very scenic and well manicured 2 mile long bike path that goes, well, nowhere. Kinda useless really, and its entrances do not make it all too appealing for recreation, so I am not entirely sure what the point of this path is. I guess I shouldn't complain that money was spent on a bicycle path, but could you have it put somewhere useful, or recreational? I wish we had paths like this everywhere, hell I am getting wary of bike lanes, but this thing just...it just goes nowhere at all. A good critique of this path to nowhere...

Though very beautiful and a bit refreshing considering the neighborhood, it still was a little on the scary side. I mean look at it...

Being sandwiched between one city with a history of corruption (Sweetwater) and god awful police and another with a terrible rep for dead cyclist (Kendall, Miami) doesn't really make this much of an appealing bike path in spite of it's beauty and potential usefulness.
